For the 65th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy from the Nazi Fascist occupation, Forte Marghera has a rich program of activities not only to remember but also to celebrate the precious gift of Freedom gained by the Resistance.
In collaboration with ANPA, during the day three movies about the Resistance are planning to be shown:
“Un popolo per la libertà. La resistenza in Italia” (Sebastiano Rendina 1995) that goes back over to the main events in which the Resistance took place in italy;
“I giorni veri. Le ragazze della Resistenza” (Manuela Pellarin 2005) that helps our understanding of what this experience was throgh the women point of view;
And the short film “Sulle montagne ci si sente liberi”.
Besides you can visit the Historical Museum of Army (3:00-6:00pm), participate in workshop and performance taken by some associations collaborating with Marco Polo System in Performa Project, join the glass workshop of Cantiere Corpo Luogo, the activities of the Scout CNGEI Association, the open rehearsal of vertical dance hold by Il Posto Association and the laboratory of typical Venetian boats which, tidal flow permitting, will take you in little boat rides through the water channels.
It is also opening an exhibition of ceramic and you can have a sneak preview of 'BRUCIA!', the new production of Compagnia Danzastorie aimed to children.
