The first act is marked by innovative thinking such as John Cage, who has revolutionized the concept of music in the contemporary age.

The exhibition 'John Cage 100 anni. Silenzio' by Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta, composer, musician, architect and photographer, a close associate of Cage and his great friend, presents (in a kind of imaginary dialogue between the two) photos, music, movies, books illustrating the thoughts of Cage and Pimenta, tracing their deep motivations. Pimenta has inherited the vision of the contemplative and introspective music that led him to have a total experience of the sounds in their objectivity.
